Haines, AK offers access to expedition paddling that is unrivaled in North America.

Scouts will explore the incredible land and seascapes that make up the  fjords of Alaska.  Haines sits at the top of the famous Inside Passage, at the end of the longest and deepest fjord in the North America.  This area offers excellent kayaking for beginners and experts alike.  The beaches are wild and pristine, with more chance of seeing wildlife than people.  Marine life includes Humpback and Orca Whales, Sea Otters, Sea lions, Seals, Salmon, Eagles, Waterfowl and more.  There is also the the opportunity to see bear, wolves, and moose while paddling.  The beaches make for great campsites and the towering mountains and glaciers add spectacular scenery.

Kayaking Trips Explore

Pristine beaches, abundant marine life, and dramatic vistas.  Our trips take place around the Chilkat Peninsula and in Chilkat State Park.  There are a number of islands where we often camp.  In addition we may paddle to the Glacier Point and hike to the face of the Davidson Glacier. Haines, Alaska is the starting and finishing place for these kayaking trips. Haines is a small community located along the fjords at the top of the Inside Passage. The natural beauty and wilderness access found here are responsible for Haines’ reputation as a center for wilderness adventure in Alaska.
