The wild rivers of Southeast Alaska and the Yukon Territory offer some of the most exhilarating and scenic rafting in North America. From broad, braided glacial flows to narrow gorges and rushing rapids, each river provides its own unique blend of challenge and beauty.

Depending on snowmelt, seasonal conditions, and river levels, Chilkoot High Adventure Base selects the river that will offer the best experience. Possible locations include the legendary Tatshenshini River, the Blanchard River, or the Chilkat River—whose name in Tlingit means “salmon storehouse.” Each trip immerses scouts in stunning wilderness landscapes, with opportunities to spot eagles, bears, and other wildlife along the way.
