The itinerary is easily adapted to the troop’s interests from more active itineraries such as hiking to more laid back itineraries such as the wildlife safari and visit to the Klukwan Heritage Center. Troops can select from a half day itinerary (1 activity) or make it a full day of adventure!

Eagle Preserve Rafting
Float through the heart of the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Enjoy a scenic float trip through the Chilkat Valley with great photo opportunities for Eagles and other wildlife amidst the grandeur of glaciated snow-capped peaks.
Hike Mount Riley
Ascend over 1500 feet of elevation on this adventurous Haines hike. Travel 5-8 miles through pristine forest with fantastic views from the top. A challenging and rewarding hike!
Hike Battery Point
Enjoy glacier, mountain and ocean views of Southeast Alaska on this remote coastal hike. Knowledgeable guides enjoy sharing their love for Alaska’s flora & fauna on this 3-5 mile hike.
Visit the Klukwan Heritage Center
Learn about the fascinating Tlingit people in their mother village. This unique and educational activity takes you through the Chilkat people’s home in the heart of the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve and see their most prized cultural treasures.
